Pianist Jon Kimura Parker is acclaimed for his vibrant artistry, dynamic stage presence, and collaborative spirit. He has appeared in world-renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, and the Sydney Opera House.

Currently, Parker is Creative Partner for the Minnesota Orchestra’s Summer at Orchestra Hall, Artistic Director of the Honens International Piano Competition, and chairs the keyboard faculty at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.

A versatile performer, he has collaborated with Yo-Yo Ma, Susan Graham, Audra McDonald, and Stewart Copeland, among others. He is a founding member of the Montrose Trio and has toured widely in Off the Score, blending classical and contemporary genres.

Parker won Gold at the 1984 Leeds International Piano Competition and is an Officer of the Order of Canada. He holds honorary doctorates from the University of British Columbia and the Royal Conservatory of Music.
